Arctic Chronobiology and Physiology made their mark at the 2019 European Biological Rhythms Society (EBRS) meeting held in Lyon, France. Shona Wood and David Hazlerigg contributed to the pre-meeting trainee day by running a session on seasonal and ultradian rhythms. In the main meeting, Daniel Appenroth spoke about his PhD research on photoperiodism in Svalbard ptarmigan, while David gave a lecture on photoperiodic history-dependence.
Our newest PhD students Gabrielle Grenier and Vebjørn Melum presented posters on their projects and volunteered as co- chairs in multiple symposia. Alex West and Shona also presented posters, and our masters student Fredrick Markussen enjoyed his first international conference. We look forward to returning next time with even more to present!
