The European Conference on The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (EuroSoTL)

EuroSoTL19, was hosted by the University of the Basque Country in Bilbao, Spain last week (June 13-14). This is the third biannual EuroSoTL conference. The previous one was held in Lund, Sweden in 2017 and the next, EuroSoT21, will be held in Manchester, UK.

The overall aim of The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is to improve student learning and enhance educational quality through systematic and evidence-based studies. SoTL is developed through commitment to peer-review and appropriate public dissemination - advancing the field of teaching and learning to build collective knowledge and ongoing improvement.

EuroSoTL19 in Bilbao included 93 oral presentations, 100 posters and 4 plenary sessions. With about 360 participants and 16 languages represented. Among these were Prof. Monica A Sundset from our research group, presenting the study "Enhancing a collective approach to teaching and learning in the spirit of SoTL".
